Lisa McDonald is many things to many people. The most important, however, is as loving mother to two beautiful children.
Prior to becoming an author, Lisa’s twenty-five-year career was dedicated to being of service to those in need within the social services sector.
Lisa has established many successes in her pursuits to help empower and advocate for others. Lisa was the recipient of a Regional Award for Standards of Excellence in Volunteerism. Lisa also collaborated with politicians in having Bill 125 passed, “The Ontarians with Disabilities Act.”
Lisa’s professional repertoire consists of holding Senior Management positions (Women’s Shelters – women and children fleeing domestic violence), a Live-In Manager for differently-abled adults, board membership at the Provincial level, as well as chairperson appointments for many committees.
Lisa has earned both a degree from McMaster University (Sociology) and a three year diploma from Mohawk College (Child & Youth Care Worker Program) and has just recently received Licensed Certification as a Passion Test Facilitator, from the New York Times Bestselling Co-Author of The Passion Test, Janet Bray Attwood, in her San Anselmo home. Lisa was one of 12 people from around the world, to be chosen for this transformational learning opportunity, from the author, herself.
At the heart and core of Lisa’s personal foundation and journey through life is an unwavering passion and commitment to her community and service to others.
